THERAPIST

I qualified 18 years ago and have developed my treatments to work deeply, releasing tension in the connective tissue known as fascia. My focus is to lengthen muscle tissue that has become shortened, tightened and restricted from overuse either through physical training or general day-to-day stress. Each session is tailored to your individual needs to ensure you get maximum benefit every time you visit. Qualifications include Advanced Clinical and Sports Massage and Advanced Myofascial Release from Jing, Holistic and Pregnancy Massage.

REMEDIAL
Massage can help relieve pain. I work deeply on muscle and connective tissue to release tension and increase blood flow, which brings nutrients to the affected area and promotes healing.

RECOVERY
I treat a lot of athletes training for Ironman, Triathlon, Cycling Sportives and Swimming Events. Massage promotes recovery which is key to any intensive training schedule to prevent injury and improve performance.

RESTORATIVE
Life can be busy and sometimes frantic. Massage has psychological benefits giving you a chance to relax and unwind. This helps to reduce stress, restore balance and promotes a sense of well-being.

"I have benefited greatly from Jo's exceptional level of sports massage treatment to maintain the training volume required competing as a Pro at Ironman distance triathlon. Jo has a comprehensive understanding of soft tissue release techniques and experience to identify individual requirements within each session, invaluable to ensure continuity in training." ABOUT ME
Who am I?
As a Mother of three based in Teddington, I enjoy a simple outdoor life in the local parks (Bushy and Richmond) and the outdoor pool in Hampton. Having worked in Radio in my 20's, I then retrained as a massage therapist so I could fulfil my ambition to bring up my children and help look after others.

Sport is a massive part of my life. I love to swim, play waterpolo and I choose to cycle whenever possible. I love to ski and snowboard and have also enjoyed spending time as a rower, lacrosse player and runner.

I love my work. My goal is to look after you and provide 60 minutes of stillness and calm. My current working week includes four days in Clinic at Vidatherapy in Teddington and one day of Office Massage at Tony's Chocolonely. My previous experience includes Sigma Sport in Hampton Wick, Innocent Drinks, Graze Healthy Snacks, London Marathon, Chelsea Ladies Football Club and ITV studios for VIP treatments during rehearsals.
